Behind the centre, the industrial estates along Fairbairn Road, Sunshine Road and toward Brooklyn hold manufacturers, food processors, transport yards and trade suppliers with break rooms that run from early morning. A WE8 or X8 in the break room and an E8 in the office is the usual pattern – the same logic as our warehouse guide.
Tullamarine: the airport economy
Freight forwarders, customs brokers, cold-chain operators and airline contractors along Sharps Road, Western Avenue and Melrose Drive work around flight schedules, which means night shifts and weekend operations. A plumbed X8 or Giga X in the break room, sized on the busiest shift break, and a WE8 in the office. Airport hotels and hospitality run commercial gear front of house and office-grade automatics in the back office.
Essendon Fields and Airport West
Essendon Fields concentrates dealerships, corporate offices, aviation businesses and retail on one site. Dealerships need two machines – a self-serve customer machine in the showroom or service lounge and a staff machine behind it – laid out in coffee machines for car dealerships. A 24-hour freight site making 120 coffees a day uses about 25kg of beans a month. We deliver weekly in kilo bags – dry medium roasts that keep high-volume grinders clean – with cleaning tablets and filters in the same drop. Smaller Sunshine offices get a fortnightly delivery.
