Office coffee bean supply Melbourne: beans delivered on schedule

Short answer: we deliver Melbourne-roasted whole beans to offices weekly, fortnightly or monthly, in kilo bags sized to your headcount, with no contract. A ten-person office gets through about 3kg a month; twenty staff about 6kg; fifty about 15kg. The beans are medium roasts that suit automatic machines – dry, fresh and consistent – so the hopper never holds stale or oily coffee, and nobody gets sent to the supermarket.

Key facts

  • Usage rule: cups a day × 9g × working days. A 20-person office making 30 cups a day uses about 6kg a month.
  • Automatic machines want dry, medium-roast whole beans. Oily supermarket beans are the most common cause of office machine faults we see.
  • Deliveries are scheduled to your usage so beans are always within weeks of roasting, not months.
  • No tied contract. Change beans, frequency or quantity whenever you like, or stop.

Fresher is better, so more frequent smaller deliveries beat one big monthly drop where the bags sit for weeks. Beans are at their best in the month after roasting.

Which beans for an office machine

Office automatics – Jura WE8, X8 and the like – need dry, medium-roast beans. Oily dark roasts coat the grinder burrs and gum up the brew group, and the machine starts under-dosing and reporting faults; it is the single most common reason we get called to an office machine. Our espresso blends and Brazil São Silvestre are built for milk drinks through an automatic; Colombia Supremo suits an office that drinks a lot of long blacks. All roasted in Melbourne, whole bean. The detail is in best coffee beans for Jura machines.

Why not supermarket beans?

  • They are usually months old, so the coffee tastes flat and staff go back to the café.
  • Many are oily, which damages automatic machines.
  • Someone has to go and buy them, and they run out on a Friday.
  • Per cup the saving is 10–15 cents. Per machine fault it costs far more.

How supply works

  1. Tell us the headcount and the machine. We suggest the quantity and frequency.
  2. Pick the beans – a blend for milk drinks is the usual choice, with a single origin alongside if the office wants it.
  3. Deliveries arrive on schedule, roasted in Melbourne, in kilo bags.
  4. Adjust any time. Tax season up, January down, cancel if the office closes. No contract.

Storage and hopper habits

Keep bags sealed in a cupboard, not the fridge. Fill the hopper with a day or two of beans rather than emptying a whole bag into it – the hopper is not airtight and beans go stale faster there. Wipe the hopper when it is empty; oils build up on the walls. Empty the grounds bin and drip tray before they are full. These take a minute a day and keep the machine and the coffee right.

Machines and servicing too

Bean supply runs alongside the machines we sell and service. If the office machine is older, needs a service, or is a home model struggling with office volume, we can look at it on the same visit – see office coffee machines Melbourne and coffee machine repairs.
