Chameleon Coffee Return Policy
At Chameleon Coffee, we take pride in our craft. This policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding returns, specifically for our Australian customers.
1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Coffee Beans & Perishables
Due to the perishable nature of roasted coffee, we do not offer returns or refunds for “change of mind” once an order has been dispatched.
3. Coffee Equipment & Accessories
For hardware (grinders, brewers, scales, etc.), the following applies:
Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
Faulty Equipment: If a product has a minor defect, we will provide a repair or replacement within a reasonable timeframe. If the product has a major failure (as defined by the ACL), you are entitled to your choice of a refund or replacement.
4. Exclusions
We will not provide a refund or replacement if:
The product has been damaged by misuse, accident, or “abnormal use” (e.g., commercial use of a domestic-grade grinder).
The product was a “special order” item sourced specifically for you.
You cannot provide Proof of Purchase (Order number, tax invoice, or bank statement).
5. Shipping & Return Process
Return Shipping: For “change of mind” exchanges (if approved), the customer pays for shipping. For confirmed faulty goods, Chameleon Coffee will reimburse reasonable postage costs or provide a pre-paid label.
Assessment: We reserve the right to assess the condition of a returned product before approving a refund or replacement. This may involve sending the item to the manufacturer for technical evaluation.
