Frequently asked questions

How often should I clean and descale my Jura?
Run the machine's cleaning cycle when it prompts you (roughly every 180–220 coffees, or when the clean symbol shows), and descale whenever the descale prompt appears — that's driven by your water hardness. Rinse the milk system daily. Alongside that, book a professional service every 6–12 months to reach the parts a home clean can't.
The video didn't fix my problem — what should I do?
Persistent error messages, weak or bitter coffee, and milk systems that won't froth usually point to something a cleaning cycle can't reach — a worn brew group, blocked internals or scale build-up. That's a job for a service: book a repair and we'll sort it, warranty-backed.
Which Jura models do these guides cover?
The maintenance steps — cleaning, descaling, milk-system care and filter changes — are similar across the Jura range, from the compact ENA and A lines through the E, S, J, F, X, Z and GIGA series. For steps specific to your model, check your user manual or ask us.
