How much does an office coffee machine cost?
Short answer: new, an office-grade automatic costs about $3,500–4,500 for a Jura WE8, $6,000–8,000 for an X8, and $9,000–12,000 or more for a Giga X. Refurbished from a workshop, the same machines cost well under the new price with a parts-and-labour warranty. Running costs are under a dollar a cup including milk – roughly $3,500 a year for a ten-person office and $7,000 for twenty – against $14,000 and $28,000 for the same coffees from a café.
- The machine is the smallest part of the cost over five years. Beans and milk are the largest, and they cost the same whatever machine you buy.

Per cup, that is about a dollar, most of it milk and beans. The machine’s purchase price spread over five years adds 10–30 cents a cup depending on the model. How to keep the cost down
