Short answer: the Truganina–Derrimut belt is the largest concentration of distribution centres in Victoria: the estates along Dohertys Road, Palmers Road, Boundary Road and Leakes Road in Truganina, and Fitzgerald Road, Mount Derrimut Road and Robinsons Road in Derrimut, with Ravenhall and Deer Park alongside. These sites run 24 hours, employ 50–500 people across shifts and mostly run on instant coffee. The big sheds along Dohertys, Palmers and Boundary Roads run continuous shifts with hundreds of staff, agency workers and drivers. Coffee demand comes in queues: 30 people in a break room at once, twice a shift. A single tank-fed machine cannot serve that; a plumbed Giga X with two grinders makes drinks back to back, and one per break room means nobody walks 200 metres in a fifteen-minute break. Derrimut estates and Ravenhall
The Derrimut estates off Fitzgerald Road, Mount Derrimut Road and Robinsons Road hold mid-sized warehouses, manufacturers, transport yards and trade suppliers – typically 20–60 staff on one or two shifts. A WE8 or X8 in the break room and an E8 in the office is the usual pattern. Ravenhall and Deer Park follow the same logic.
Front offices, dispatch and drivers’ rooms
Every DC has a front office and a drivers’ room. The office wants a quiet one-touch machine for admin, dispatch and visiting account managers – a Jura E8 or WE8. A drivers’ waiting room is public-facing and unsupervised, so it wants a self-serve machine that rinses itself and keeps going – a WE8 or X8, plumbed if there is water nearby.
Truganina’s new estates
South of the freeway, Truganina has grown into estates with their own medical clinics, childcare centres, gyms, salons and small professional offices around the new town centres. These need the same compact one-touch machines as their equivalents anywhere – an ENA 8 or E8 at reception – and they get the same local servicing.

Beans by the pallet, not the packet
A 200-person DC making 300 coffees a day uses about 60kg of beans a month. We deliver weekly in kilo bags: dry medium roasts that keep high-volume grinders clean, with cleaning tablets and filters in the same delivery. Never run oily supermarket beans through a Giga X – bean supply.
Servicing a 24-hour site
High-volume machines need a service every twelve months and a technician who can get there when something fails at 5am on a Monday. Our workshop is a short drive from Truganina and Derrimut; we service on site or swap a machine so the break room is never without one for long.
